Go Into All the World: Your Message & Your Mission from God

Once you become a Christian, your life’s journey gets easier in some ways – and harder in others! As you grow in Christ, you awaken to the realities of the world’s condition. Brokenness. Pain. Suffering. Spiritual evil. That is why Jesus told His disciples to “…go into all the world and preach the good news…” that would bring them PEACE. (Mark 16:15)

You now bear a testimony as a living witness to the goodness of God and with that, the Lord will continue to unfold His plan of salvation for all of the world through people like YOU. You have a message and a mission from God.

Think about this: There are broken, suffering, and confused people in this world who will pay attention to the hope of the Gospel simply because YOU are the one sharing it!

But… when the time comes, what will you say?

Christ Goes Into All the World… Through YOU

You don’t have to be a perfect Christian to share the gospel. Even if you’re a message – God will turn your mess into a message!

  • Look at Peter who denied Jesus.
  • Look at Thomas, filled with doubt.
  • Look at James and John, filled with anger.
  • Look at Mary Magdalene and her sordid, sexual sins.
  • Look Nathaniel of Cana, a mocker.
  • Look at Saul of Tarsus, a killer.

Jesus changed all of the world through these types of people! Obviously, it wasn’t because they were perfect that God used used them, so what was it? It was their willingness. Are you willing?? If so, the Lord has a mission and a message for you to share with the WORLD.

Your testimony is unique your journey is unique. What the Lord has done for you, specifically, is what makes your message resonate with others experiencing similar problems.

  • Has the Lord set you free? Tell someone who is trapped in sin!
  • Has the Lord healed you? Tell someone who is suffering with illness!
  • Has the Lord provided? Tell someone who is in need!
  • Has the Lord guided? Tell someone who needs direction!
  • Has the Lord answered? Tell someone who is seeking!
  • Has the Lord rescued? Tell someone who is in trouble!

Revelation 19:10 says that the testimony of Jesus Christ is a prophetic act declaring in the Spirit that what God has done – He will do again!! That is why you cannot stay silent. The world literally needs the message of the good news YOU bring!

It was the theologian D.L. Moody who said, “The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him.”

“You are My witnesses…”

Much of the world still rejects Jesus Christ as God – whether openly or in their hearts – yet everyone wonders if there is something bigger than themselves. Why? Because all people were CREATED to praise the Lord. (Isaiah 43:21)

So, naturally all of humanity wants to know who God is, even if they cannot understand that it is Him they are seeking. The inherent void that exists apart from God leads people into idolatry to fill their emptiness if they do not turn to praise Him as the Creator. (See Romans 1)

The world needs YOU to tell them why you have hope amid hopeless situations, why you have joy in suffering, why you have peace in the storms, and why you have a light in the darkness to guide you.

Some people willingly bear witness of Christ, but many hesitate to pay the price of boldly testifying of the goodness of God and of the Savior Jesus Christ. But you don’t have to travel into the jungle or stand on a street corner to change someone’s life. All you have to do is TESTIFY.

Praise Empowers You to Go Into All the World

Perhaps one of the reasons many Christians don’t do more in the Kingdom of God is because they underestimate the extreme importance of what God needs them to do. But you know who does realize how important you are? Satan.

The fact is, the more time you spend in worship, the bolder you will become about sharing what the Lord has done in you, for you, and even through you. YOU are a living witness to the mercy, the love, the forgiveness, the restoration, the provision, and the power of Christ.

Learn more about the 7 Hebrew Words for Praise and how each one helps create strength, intimacy, and fresh revelation as you understand more about God’s plan for praise in your life!

Being in God’s dwelling place, in His glorious presence, is a faith builder. Praise and worship are a reminder, an igniter, a strengthener, a support, an exclusively God-centered action and a spiritual weapon of warfare.

David wrote:

“He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.” (Psalm 40:3, NKJV)

The more time you spend in worship, giving thanks to God, offering the sacrifice of praise, blessing Him and ministering to Him, the less effort it will let your witness overflow to the world.

Don’t trust in your own strength or desire, worship the Lord, then get out there and show the world who Jesus Christ is to you!

Isaiah wrote these words from the Lord:

You are My witnesses, says the Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no savior. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shown, when there was no strange god among you; therefore, you are My witnesses, says the Lord, that I am God. Indeed, from eternity I am He…” (Isaiah 43:10-13)

You may not be called to preach or go on the mission field, but you are a witness, as the Lord spoke, along with Jesus Christ, His servant. Why?

“So that you may know and believe and understand” who the eternal God is in your own life and to be a witness of this to the world.

  • Maybe your sphere of influence is to children in a preschool, or even just to your own children at home.
  • Maybe your sphere of influence as a witness will be to your co-workers or family members.
  • Maybe you’re a clerk in the halls of Congress, or a janitor on a movie set, or mechanic or a doctor who can pray in your spirit over patients each time you touch them.
  • Maybe you’re an evangelist or a retired grandparent.

Your job during your time on earth, your most important mission is to minister to the Lord in worship and through that you will naturally:

  1. know
  2. believe
  3. understand
  4. witness

Maybe in your life fear has been the master up until now, but faith will lead you forward. You don’t ever need to fear Satan. If you know who you are in Christ, HE FEARS YOU.

You are a HIGH VALUE TARGET for Satan and you represent a clear and present danger to his plan to wipe out anyone made in God’s image.

  • This is why Satan tries to keep you disconnected from God in worship by ensnaring you in opinions of others.
  • This is why you struggle with anxiety or rejection when you think about sharing the gospel.
  • This is why you’re too busy to serve in a ministry at church.

Satan’s strategy is to keep the weak person weak so the lost remain lost. If you never, ever realize your true power to change the world then Satan has done his job. How can you change the world? By first letting God change you.

Jesus knew that He was born to be “the way, the truth and the life” and that “No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

While much of the world flat-out rejected His divinity, some willingly bore witness to His position as the Son of God and paid the price for that boldness with their lives- it’s no different today!

he will not grow weary scripture

People know you’re a Christian and they are watching to see what you’re going to do about it, every, single time. But that’s okay! Even if you fall short, let them see you fall to your knees!

Peter wrote:

“Always be ready to give an answer to every man who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you, with gentleness and fear.” (1 Peter 3:15)

You have a LIVING HOPE in the living God, and as you build a lifestyle of praise, you will become stronger in your faith. Yes, you’ll still fall and fail, but the world will observe how faith changes you and they’ll want that for themselves – get ready!

If you are willing, tell the Lord that. Specifically say it to Him. Yes, He’s God, but He does need YOU and what you have to offer to the world. He made you for a purpose and THIS IS IT!

“We have heard that God is with you…”

Zechariah 8:20-23 says:

“…many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.’ Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you…”

People want to be convinced that Jesus is the way, even if they don’t see it within themselves. You keep being a living witness!

Thought for today: Go, Because God IS With You

God is always speaking if you’ll stop to hear Him, and His words always have purpose if you’ll move to carry it out. There’s always an assignment for you in the Kingdom.

What your witness looks like will be uniquely you. Your life is the primary witness to the eternal God, and to Jesus Christ, “the image of the invisible God”. (Colossians 1:5) The more time you spend in His presence, the more effective and powerful your witness will be.

“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they are thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers. All things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:16-17)

God wants the world to know Him through Jesus Christ. He sent His Son to be born into humble circumstances and with “no form or majesty that we should look upon him nor appearance that we should desire him.” (Isaiah 53:2)

Jesus Christ, the humble Son of God, is easy to miss for those who are too busy looking at themselves and their own lives and that’s why God needs your witness and your message about Jesus Christ!

Stay prepared for those moments by remaining close to the Spirit of God in praise, prayer, and the power of God’s living Word!

Every day He has a fresh word for you, but not only for your own edification, no! What God has given you, He has given to the world through you – so what are you going to do about it?
