Running the Race
We are surrounded by the “Great cloud of witnesses” as it is written in Hebrews 12:1, and even here in the natural world, you are being observed and watched as you “run the race that is set before you”. Every Christian, every day has a “race” to run – with family, co-workers, friendships, business dealings, health matters and much more. Yes, “LIFE” is one part of the journey, but every, single moment on the path God has laid out for your life is another leg of the race. “Do you not know that all those who run in a race run, but one receives the prize? So run, that you may obtain it. Everyone who strives for the prize exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible one,” Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 9:24-25.
How you finish the race each day depends entirely on how you train for it. In this teaching, I am going to share from over 20 years of experience as a runner, how to “train for the terrain” in your life, and discover 10 things EVERY runner of faith needs to know!
