Alicia Purdy holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Regent University. She is the author of "The Way of the Worshipper: Connecting to the Spirit of God through restoring intimacy, purpose and understanding in worship" and the Publisher of TheWayoftheWorshipper.com. Her career has centered around multi-media journalism with a focus on news in the government and business sectors. She hosted a local political and pop culture radio program, "The Matter at Hand", until stepping away to run for office. In 2021 she came in second in a three-way Mayoral race earning the highest number of votes in the history of Albany, NY, for a Republican Mayoral candidate. Alicia currently homeschools her two youngest children and in 2023, she formed CounterProductive Projects, a company focused on niche publishing, editing and writing for Christian ministries and leaders.
