Here’s How Your Testimony of Faith Puts Power into Your Praise

Worship and praise are two of the most powerful and effective spiritual weapons that you’ve been given to help you as your journey through this life. When your personal testimony of faith in the Lord is part of your worship, the faith of other people becomes inspired, ignited and instantly strengthened as they hear what the Lord has done for you.

Remember that gratitude is the point of origin for all worship. Look back through the journey of your life and you will see that the Lord has been with you. Things may have been hard, but you’re still here! Your testimony of faith may be that the Lord has healed you, answered prayer, redeemed you, pulled you out of a dark place, walked with you through fire, spoken His Word into your life- and now it is your “new song”!

The uniqueness of your relationship with Christ is the power of praise and worship. When you sing and give thanks to God for each testimony you carry within you, your praise becomes a weapon against the enemy, making a “show of Him openly” and declaring the goodness of God to others who need that word in season!

Your Testimony of Faith is the Sign Someone Prayed for

The power of your testimony of faith must be shared with others because there are people praying to the Lord and you are the answer He is sending.

Some pray that He would show Himself to them. People are seeking the Lord to see if they can trust Him. Some are seeking salvation. Others seek healing or provision or guidance. They need to hear what you have to say!

The power of your testimony of faith must be shared with others because there are people praying to the Lord and you are the answer He is sending.

In Psalm 40: 1-3, David shared his own testimony as he worshipped the Lord saying:

“I waited patiently for the Lord, and He turned to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet on a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God; many will see it, and fear, and will trust in the Lord.

The Word of God is filled with the testimonies and stories of people of faith and how God broke through for them. It’s no different in praise and worship. As you sing, hope arises, faith is renewed, strength is restored, strongholds are broken- in you and in the lives of those who see you and hear you as you praise the Lord.

Your Testimony of Faith Prophesies When You Testify of Jesus Christ

Revelation 19:10 says that “…the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” What that means is this: When your praise and worship are founded on your testimony of faith, and when you give thanks to the Lord for those things He has done, you are prophetically telling others that what God has done for you- He will do for them!

Jesus said this, “…if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men to Myself.” (John 12:32) But here’s the powerful secret – Jesus Christ already was lifted up onto the tree at Calvary! The reason why your worship must be firmly rooted in the Word of God and why you must continue to testify of what Jesus Christ has done for you is because as you lift Him up, He will continue to draw people to Himself.

What a testimony of faith, power and praise you have! When you worship the Lord, it is great to sing among your fellow believers, but make sure that you also have private times of praise and worship where you can sing your unique words of thanksgiving to Him.

As you sing and clap and raise your hands and shout and dance, you testify of what He has done, is doing and will continue to do!

Whether you realize it or not, people are watching your life, your witness and your worship – even other believers! Maybe you don’t feel like the perfect example, but that is the beauty of God’s supernatural power. All you need to do is worship the Lord and He’ll do the rest.

Thought for Today: The World Needs Your Personal Testimony of Faith

Revelation 21:11 says, “They overcame Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…” The power of His blood still testifies today and your testimony of faith is one of the most effective ways the Lord strikes blow after blow upon the enemy in the fight for the souls of the people He loves.

God is jealous for your praise, but it doesn’t stop there.

The fact is that praise isn’t just for you. Although you will grow and be strengthened as you praise and worship the Lord, others will too and that is a solid testimony of faith that continues to multiply! Don’t forget that it is your gratitude that ignites worship to Him.
