Partnering in Power with the Names of God for Your Situation

When believers struggle to “feel” God or to tangibly experience a connection with His Spirit in worship, it can be discouraging and, of course, the enemy will try to wear your faith down so you never want to worship at all. He doesn’t want you to have a fresh revelation about the names of God in your situation and he definitely doesn’t want you worshipping!

The enemy wants you to forget the power of Jesus’ name and that “all authority in heaven and on earth” was given to Him (Matt. 28:18) and that with the power of the name of Jesus, you will have the victory.

The Lord knows which names of God you need for victory right now in your life, and there is a name of His that He wants to reveal to you today, in your spirit and in your situation, and, of course, the Bible is clear:

There is no name higher than Jesus Christ. (Philippians 2:9) But in Him live all the names of God!

Asaph wrote, “We give thanks to You, O God; we give thanks, and Your name is near; Your wondrous works declare it.” (Psalm 75:1)

Get to Know the Name(s) Above Every Name

Psalm 9:10 says, “Those who know Your name will put their trust in You…” (MEV)

When you give thanks in worship to the Lord, (the Hebrew word for praise, “Yadah”) according to Psalm 75:1, the NAME of the Lord is near to you. Do you know that name? There are hundreds of names of God for every situation you’ll ever encounter!

You need fresh revelation from the Holy Spirit to keep your faith vital, alive and refreshed as you journey throughout your life and it is through learning, understanding and applying the names of God to your life that you will find strength, intimacy and victory.

Jesus has full knowledge of what brought you to this point, so you must stick close to Him in prayer, praise and in His Word so He can reveal to you which of His names you need to walk in victory and strength in this season.

Revelation of the Names of God Reveal Your Path to Victory

Every name of the Lord is a promise you can bet everything on! The name of Jesus has many variations because He cannot be understood with just one word.

Victory comes in many forms, and you will see victory, first, within yourself, and then outside of you and in your situations, but while you’re waiting, praise is what keeps your spirit strong.

Praise keeps your eyes fixed on Jesus. Praise keeps your soul from stumbling. Praise and worship keep your spirit under the “shadow of His wing”. (Psalm 91:1)

Worship the Lord! Worship is a spiritual discipline, a lifestyle, a commitment and an act of faith before you see what you are hoping for. Jesus Christ is your Living Hope! Give thanks to the Lord for who He is before you see what He can do – that is true faith! “…We give thanks to you, O Lord, and Your name is near…”

Praise is an act of faith every time. Praise is a sacrifice every time. Praise is ministry to the Lord every time. You’ll always have to push the “old man” down. You’ll always have to push past your feelings, inhibitions and experiences in order to minister to the Lord.

And, no, you won’t always “feel” the emotions or tingles up your spine while you do it. That’s faith!

Thought for today: Is the Name of Jesus Really Higher?

Praise is what positions you to experience all that God holds within His presence. If you want to know more – get to where He is. Yes, He is always with you, as He promised. But there is a different spiritual dynamic between when He walks with you versus when you go into His “courts with praise”. They are two different spiritual locations.

“We give thanks to you and Your name is near.” That is a powerful promise attached to ministering to the Lord in worship! God isn’t a genie in a lamp, however. You can’t wish for Him and He doesn’t pop up on command.

You must intentionally enter into His courts with praise (Psalm 100:4) and His name is near. The attributes of God reveal His character. The names of God reveal His power, personality and promises.

HIS NAME IS HIGHER than cancer, mental illness, suicide, drugs, abuse, pain, trauma, fear, principalities and powers, confusion, loss, rage and anger, strongholds, depression, anxiety, doubt and despair, a broken heart and all the rest.

Give thanks to the Lord and HIS NAME IS NEAR. HIS NAME IS ABOVE EVERY NAME and He will not fail.
