Today, I want to share with you a message the Holy Spirit impressed into my spirit as my family and friends have experienced the aftermath of the terrible murder of George Floyd. In my own city, and even in my own backyard (which is bordered by a small store) there has been looting, rioting, gun fire, tear gas, anger, hate, fear and terror. Our family has, as many others have, struggled to express our love, sadness and compassion on everyone, in every shade of color, and to look to the Lord for our protection – and He has been faithful!
On my weekly radio program, “Living Out Loud” on the Alive Radio Network, I spoke the words He sent to my heart. There is terrible pain and turmoil all across the United States of America because of the deeply ingrained sin of racism, which is not a “black and white” issue, but in a sin issue that has wormed its way into the hearts and minds of people in every shade, even Christians.
I hope that you will take time to hear what I have to say on this important issue. You may cry as you will see that I cried. You may struggle to express yourself to your friends, as I did. You may feel anger, frustration, dismay and fear, as I have. You may wonder where God is in all of this- and I believe He wants to speak to your heart on this matter- as He did to my own heart!
