Revelation 15 paints a picture of how the victorious saints worship in heaven and it is powerful because those saints? They had to fight for their victory- a fight to the death– and they won over the enemy. Life will be full of spiritual warfare, skirmishes, battles and daily fights and some of the worst and hardest battles will be waged over the lives of people who are lost to God because of the lure of Satan and his pride. Have you ever noticed that? The enemy must be fought, and he can be defeated. Anything other way of looking at it is a lie… from him! How long must you contend with Satan? As long as it takes!
Revelation 15:2-3 says, “…those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God, they sang…” If you want to wage war against the enemy, you can expect the wounds of battle, the traumas, the devastation, the pain, the exhaustion, the ugliness, the confusion, the setbacks… and the ultimate victory, because of Jesus Christ! So fight to the death alongside the Lord of Heavens Armies and worship the Lord in every, single battle won– even the “little” victories. Whether you obtain “victory over the beast” in your life, “over his image” – those false, deceptive lies to lure people’s attention away from God, “his mark” – the scourge of sin and strongholds, or “the number of his name” – the numerous demons and familiar spirits that plague everyone’s lives – worship God!!
If you want to wage war against the enemy, you can expect the wounds of battle, the traumas, the devastation, the pain, the exhaustion, the ugliness, the confusion, the setbacks… and the ultimate victory, because of Jesus Christ!
This is what the worship of heaven is like: victorious, celebratory, jubilant, in-your-face-Satan! kind of worship! Thank the Lord today, even if its the smallest thing you can think of. Give every, single speck of glory to God for every, single thing, because “every good and perfect gift” comes from Him. (James 1:17) Sing like they do in heaven, “Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name?” The next thing that happens?? “…the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.” Your worship opens heaven every time you testify of Jesus Christ and of what He has done! Maybe you don’t feel like a victor today, but God says you are and He sent Jesus Christ as proof. Worship God as the overcomer you are, and open the doors of heaven with your testimonies, even the little ones!
Thought for today
“They sang…” says Revelation 15:3. They. You should absolutely worship the Lord on your own because worship must be your lifestyle if you’re going win any wars. However, there is a unique anointing in the atmosphere when you worship among other Christians, other warriors, people in various stages of battles. Worship is an act of faith, a sacrifice, a public declaration of the goodness of God as seen in your body and evidenced in your mouth. It’s an act of response and an act of war, and a spiritually bonding act with other believers, a strengthening, faith-building act where the testimony of Jesus Christ spreads and brings encouragement to others, as well as yourself. “I will proclaim Your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise You among your assembled people,” David wrote. David was a warrior, in the spiritual and the natural worlds- and he was victorious over giants! Get with other Christians and together you’ll bring heaven down to earth, taking captive every high thing as you worship the Lord!
