Do you ever look back on your life and just admire how far God has brought you? I remember when He “turned to me and heard my cry.” I remember when “He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire.” I remember when “He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.” I remember when He gave me, “a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God.” (Psalm 40:1-3) Do you remember those days?
I remember when “You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for He forgave all our sins.” (Colossians 2:13)
You can trust in the Lord. He has a plan. He has a process. If you will submit to the pressures and challenges of discipline, growth, change and maturity, God can use all that you thought was wasted to change the world! It won’t always be easy. Sometimes you’ll feel like it’s too much to ask. Sometimes you’ll think, “What’s the point?!” Sometimes you’ll hate and resent everyone who is speaking the word of the Lord into your life. Sometimes it’ll feel like you’ll never get to where you want to go – keep going! God wants to change the world through you and if God can get you to it, God will get you through it!
Friends, “I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6) <3
