Worship when you need a word!
The presence of the Lord is most strongly sensed in worship. Why do you think our adversary is unrelenting in his attacks on the worshippper, or always trying to counterfeit in worship using any means possible? Our praise, blessing and ministry to God is of the utmost importance – even Satan knows that! God’s presence is at its most dynamic within the praises of His people. Of course, His presence is with you wherever you go, but He dwells in the midst of worship. (Psalm 22:3)
The Holy Spirit moves in a powerful way in the midst of worship and a fresh move of God is what changes lives, and changes hearts and minds, and transforms the impossible to the possible.
In the New Testament, the apostles were in desperate need for a word from the Lord for how to move the early church ahead amid resistance, persecution and threat of death. This was a life-or-death situation and they did not want to make any decision that was not guided by the Holy Spirit. Have you ever been in a similar place? If you need a word from the Lord, or are seeking His direction, if you need His guidance, if you need to know what to do next, if your choices are becoming desperate- you need His presence. You need to worship.
As the apostles worshipped and fasted, the Holy Spirit moved. In fact, the Holy Spirit spoke. The same power is applicable to your situation as well. The Holy Spirit moves in a powerful way in the midst of worship and a fresh move of God is what changes lives, and changes hearts and minds, and transforms the impossible to the possible. Your primary objective in times of great need is to worship Him, to minister to Him and invite His presence into your life. It sounds too easy, doesnβt it? Thatβs what the enemy wants you to think, but His presence is what you need. God is on your side. You worship and praise Him, minister unto Him. Heβll take care of the rest.
Thought for today
Do you understand the power of praise better than Satan does? He was created to worship God- just like you were. His pride was his downfall and he lost his position in heaven, but it didn’t stop there. Satan has made it his mission to come after the Christian using the very thing he was created for- worship. He will fill your heart and mind with lies, doubt, fear, insecurity and even lie to you when you sin- telling you that you aren’t worthy to enter into God’s presence. Not so! If anything you need worship even more! Satan knows you need a word from God, so he will do anything he can to prevent you from worshipping, or he’ll try to disconnect you in worship, to block you from truly entering in via the sacrifice of praise. Don’t fall for it! Cast everything else aside and minister to the Lord. Your life-changing word is on its way!
