Meditation Proclamation

The spoken word: Do a new thing.

"See, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?" ~Isaiah 43:19

The Lord loves to do a new thing- but the enemy does too. While his tricks and tactics aren’t new to humanity, they might be new to you! This is why Christians cannot live in ignorance of the ways Satan uses to lure God’s people away from their calling in Christ, to disqualify you. While God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8) you are being changed from “glory to glory” (2 Corinthians 3:18). Satan would love nothing more than to snare you with the ideas of how things used to be, to get you to look over your shoulder and recall happier times, more prosperous times, or to live in your nostalgia. Maybe he will remind you of past pains or failures or regrets or negative words people have said. Your past is the biggest snare to holding you back from your future, from the next glorious change the Lord has planned for you.

It was for freedom that Christ has set you free- but you have to walk in that freedom. You have to set the past aside and you have to lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1) Don’t look back. Look forward! God has something new to usher in a season of glorious change, but if you’re looking backward- you won’t see it!

future success
